Our Community Impact

United Way of Hood County fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in Hood County.  While in this fight, we have identified unmet needs and have partnered with our partner agencies to provide these new services:

Good For Hood Round Table: once-a-month meeting with Hood County non-profits, organizations, and agencies focused on collaborating and meeting unmet needs while making sure we are not duplicating services.

Cresson Pod Community Center: After identifying needs in the Cresson Pod Community, we have been given one of the homes to host engagement, educational, and empowerment opportunities from all of our partner agencies.  This will allow for budgeting classes, cooking classes for the kids, tutoring on Tuesdays, life skills classes and so much more.

Diaper Bank: UWHC is honored to provide 5,000 diapers, wipes, hygiene, clothing, and baby food and formula to our partner agencies every month thanks to our partnership with Hope Supply.

GoodForHood.org:  One-stop-shop for volunteers in Hood County. Volunteers can fill out one application, see and sign-up for any posted opportunities from United Way Partner Agencies.
