Mission: Since 1916, the Chisholm Trail Chapter of the American Red Cross has been there to meet the emergency needs of the residents in the 23 counties it encompasses. True to the American Red Cross mission as a humanitarian organization led by volunteers to provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prepare for and respond to emergencies, the Chisholm Trail Chapter provides services for over 2.2 million residents in our service area.

Programs: Annually, the Red Cross provides more than 800 families safe housing, food, financial support to help purchase clothing and other items, and referrals to longer-term relief agencies immediately following a disaster.

Locally, the American Red Cross trains more than 20,000 of our neighbors in lifesaving skills like first aid and CPR. The Chisholm Trail Chapter supports the U.S. Armed Forces by conveying thousands of emergency messages from family members to deployed military personnel stationed around the world.
