STAR Council

STAR (Solutions Toward Addiction Recovery) Council is a team of qualified teachers and counselors who provide prevention education in Hood County schools, intervention and parenting skills in the community, and are the founders of the Hood County Coalition on Underage Drinking. STAR Council provides free addiction treatment to youth and adults. These programs empower clients and their families to recover from chemical dependence. Specialized programs are available for women and clients with both a mental health and substance abuse challenge.

Star Council provides substance abuse services of education, assessment and referrals to individuals and families in Erath, Hood, Palo Pinto, Parker, and Somervell Counties.
