Hood County Children's Charity Fund, Inc.

Children’s Charities received a call about baby Jim who has a disease known as EB Simplex. This disease causes blisters to rise anywhere there is any friction – even the friction caused by sucking a bottle and the resulting movement of liquid through the throat. Jim required a vacuum device to remove moisture from the esophagus or it would swell shut and cause suffocation. Without this device they couldn’t get the child to their doctor in Fort Worth and back without risking sever distress or even death. Children’s Charities paid $380 for a suction device to assist this family. .
