Boys and Girls Club of Hood County :

Boys & Girls Club of Hood County

John and Nick’s father lost his job. Boys and Girls Club provided a scholarship for the children so their father could look for employment. Their mother says “This lifted a huge burden off of us. Our boys could still enjoy the club, and we would not have to worry about having a safe, fun place for them to be when we could not be there for them.”

People served in Hood County in 2004: 1,050

The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Hood County is to empower ALL youth to become successful members of society by giving them a sense of competence, a sense of usefulness, a sense of belonging, and a sense of power and influence. We strive to provide ALL youth a positive and safe environment to develop to their maximum potential, especially in at-risk cases where such environment may not otherwise exist.
